ALANS SKIPS BACK ALEX STANIFORTH

 In Uncategorised

In what is a busy month for Alan’s Skip Hire in the local community, we are also excited to announce we are backing Alex Staniforth on his quest to the summit of Mount Everest in spring 2015.

Alex, 19 years old from the Chester area, was set to climb to the summit of Mount Everest in Spring 2014 in aid of animal and cancer charities, only to be stopped by the tragedy of a major avalanche above base camp, in which 16 Sherpas lost their lives. Yet this is not the only obstacle Alex has overcome in his life. He has also suffered with epilepsy, depression and anxiety. Alex has since turned these challenges into opportunities and will be once again making his way to Nepal in spring 2015 to complete his ambition of conquering Mount Everest.

In preparation for this challenge, he has also started the project Epic7: A series of 7 ultra-endurance challenges culminating in the holy grail of Everest. By cycling and climbing he hopes to raise money for the Himalyan Trust UK and inspire young people around the world to strive for and to achieve their dreams.

We are proud to back him.
